We will pick you up from your hotel and after 10 minutes (if you choose Riga city centre kayak tour) or 40 minutes (if you choose Bullupe River) you will be dropped off at a boating centre. There you will have instructions and time to learn how to handle the steering and rowing.

Lucavsala Island (12 km; duration approx. 3-3.5 hours). You will see Zakusala island with the famous Radio and TV tower, Railway bridge, Stone bridge, National Library of Latvia, Riga Old town with its churches, Riga Castle, Suspension bridge, Kipsala beach, and Kipsala island, Riga Passengers terminal, Andrejosta pier.
Around Islands (15 km; duration 4-6 hours). You will see Zakusala island with the famous Radio and TV tower, Railway bridge, Stone bridge, National Library of Latvia, Riga Old town with its churches, Riga Castle, Suspension bridge, Kipsala beach, and Kipsala island, Riga Passengers terminal, Andrejosta pier.
Riga Shipyard (15 km; duration 4-6 hours) established in 1913 and having more than a century old history, today continues to serve European and Scandinavian customers focusing on ship repair, conversion, and shipbuilding. Riga Shipyard is one of the largest yards in the Baltic region repairing more than 100 seagoing vessels per year and has built more than 150 hulls, some partially outfitted. You will get to see the large ships from a close distance.
If you want a more relaxing atmosphere, we can take you to the Bullupe river on the outskirts of Riga where you are as close to nature as it is possible. It is an excellent option for those who want to enjoy nature without any city noise. You can row down the Bullupe River where it flows into the Lielupe River (approx. 3.5 km one way). Then turn left (500 meters) if you want to see the White Dune of Lielupe River, or turn right and row 1 km to where Lielupe River flows into the Baltic Sea (the Gulf of Riga). You can rent boats for all day and do both – first stop at White Dune to go swimming. Then soak up in the sun, go up the White Dune to take some photos, sunbath and row down the Lielupe River until the Gulf of Riga.
Please be careful, and don’t forget that you are on the water. Be ready to get wet, so take some spare clothes.
