Riga Winter Quad Bikes
The winter quad biking in Riga is more extreme compared to the summer version. Especially, if the forest is full of snow or if the trail is covered with ice. This great activity will allow you to enjoy both, the beautiful scenery and powerful 250cc Honda quad bikes, pulling you up the steep hills or over the frozen puddles.

What will happen?
We will pick you up from your hotel and drive 45 km east of Riga to the quad bike track. This region usually is colder and, thus, more covered by snow than the southern or western part of Latvia.
Once you arrive, you will choose a helmet and goggles. The rest you can decide, either you can ride with your gear on or you can take boots, pants, jersey, jacket and gloves from the quad biking provider. Those come without any additional cost. Once that is done, your instructor will introduce you to the quad bikes and how to drive them. Then you will hop on and drive some laps on a circuit track, so the instructor can see how you handle the driving. He might ask you to pull over to give you some advice. Usually, the driving takes 5 to 10 minutes. Once that is done, you will head into the forest for off-road quad biking. The instructor will drive first and you will follow him, trying to overtake all the obstacles as smoothly as he does.
Please note that the 65 EUR/pp option is for the 30 minutes’ drive on a circuit track. If you prefer to drive off road in the forest, the price starts from 85 EUR/pp (depending on the size of the group).
Since the quad biking track is not far from Sigulda city which by Latvians is called the Switzerland of Latvia and unofficially is the capital of winter activities. There you can experience how it is to sit in a real bobsleigh and go down the track at a speed of over 100 km/h. In Sigulda, you can also do cross-country skiing and downhill skiing/snowboarding. It also has some great trails for winter hiking. In Sigulda, you can also visit a SPA centre with a swimming pool and two types of saunas. • Please take your ID card (can be a passport, driver’s license, Student`s card or National ID card) with you as you will have to read and sign the conditions of use of the quad bike.
